Introduction
Since its inception in 1985, Empress has made a firm commitment to the development of Emergency Medical Services and quality after care transportation in New York State. Empress has concentrated it’s efforts towards providing state-of-the-art patient care in a personal and compassionate manner. A personal approach to doing business has proven to be successful as evidenced by a reputation that is unparalleled in the region.
Empress is based in the City of Yonkers, New York which is bordered by New York City to the south, the City of Mt Vernon to the east and the Village of Hastings to the north. Empress provides 9-1-1 emergency medical response to Yonkers with additional mutual aid response to neighboring communities. Additionally, Empress has emergency and non-emergency response contracts throughout Westchester County with districts, hospitals, correctional institutions and private care facilities.
Our staff of over 200 personnel is of the highest caliber in the industry. Our 24-hour communications center houses one the most advanced computer aided systems in the region. Providing preventative maintenance and repair, our full service, factory trained fleet maintenance facility ensures mechanically sound vehicles.

Certifications
Empress Emergency Medical Services and it's employees hold all necessary and relevant certifications for service within the State of New York. We operate within the framework provided by the New York State Department of Health for EMS agencies.
All employees providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) are credentialed with the appropriate medical administrative councils for operation within Westchester County and New York City. ALS providers operating as part of Critical Care teams are trained and certified through the CCEMTP program. Empress has also been designated a Gold Level EMS provider by the American Heart Association through their Mission Lifeline program. This is their highest level of recognition and certifies that we have shown exceptional commitment to and success in the treatment of heart attacks.
